We first met in the halls of our middle school, and Alison was initially not impressed with 8th grade me. Like at all. It wasn’t until halfway through 9th grade that I was able to finally convince her to give me a shot. We have been inseparable ever since. After high school, I went to Virginia Tech and Alison was just down the road at Radford University. We logged many miles driving back and forth between schools as we continued to build our relationship and support each other through challenges both academic and otherwise. Soon after graduation we made the leap into marriage surrounded by all of our family and friends in our hometown.

We came to the Outer Banks for a summer while Alison completed an internship and I taught kiteboarding, then adventured to Louisiana for a few years of graduate school. We learned many things in grad school, but one of the most important was that we really missed and loved the small beach town life we had left behind in North Carolina.

We moved back to the Outer Banks for good in 2010, and have built a beautiful life here. We love photographing couples and families who share our love for this place and for each other. If that is you, then we look forward to meeting you soon!
